Job Description
Job Description Develops and produces high level, quality core concept written material.

Major activities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Creates high quality creative content and generates new and innovative ideas by collaborating with internal staff, utilizing personal creativity, skills and experience to create a broad range of written concept advertising, sales promotion and collateral pieces.
- Assists in developing a "Creative Brief" by working with internal team (Art Director, Account Management, studio) and client team to define original concept, create a target audience, and begin creative process.
- Assists in defining and developing a creative approach and process for a project by attending meetings with the account and creative teams, and brainstorming sessions with the creative team.
- Enhances creative quality by reviewing concept ideas with Creative Director, Art Director and Creative Team.
- Ensures strategic and medical accuracy of content by reviewing and editing copy for correctness and applying clinical data and market research to the concept work.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of content by appropriately applying client-provided information, market research and AMA and client preferred style to the content copy.
- Creates a "Copy Document" (if appropriate) by utilizing information gathered throughout brainstorming sessions and sends for internal review and approval.
- Maintains Agency creative standards by reviewing type proofs and mechanicals for errors or omissions, adhering to budget and time constraints.
- Helps ensure legal and regulatory accuracy and compliance, by participating in a legal review with Client Company's PMT committee.
- Maintains currency with brands, projects and applicable medical/scientific information (when appropriate) by conducting market research via Internet and other resources (Med Line, National Library of Medicine, etc.), reviewing client information, clinical reports, etc.
Minimal education required for this job Bachelors Degree -- Any
Skills - Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience preferably in an agency environment.
- Exceptional writing skills, strong command of the English language, ability to use creativity in writing, good working knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Some familiarity with creation and presentation of scientific tables and statistical data, honed presentation skills.
- Ability to appropriately obtain and utilize reference material.
- Strong attention to detail.
