| Job Description | The NYU Langone Medical Center Department of Dermatology is seeking a medical editor/writer to work with us on a freelance basis. The position will entail reviewing a multi-investigational National Institute of Health (NIH) grant to standardize the style of writing throughout the document. The engagement will begin in November and continue for two months through January. Responsibilities • Prepares and edits document for consistent formatting and writing style. • Provides technical direction and oversight for authored documents. • Ensures all documents are well-organized, accurate, consistent, and in compliance with applicable grant submission regulations. • Researches and cross-checks relevant literature references. • Promptly reviews high quality documents for regulatory submission. • Reviews tables and graphs for content, completeness and presentation. • Ensures that all projects are completed in a timely manner. Qualifications • Prefer PhD or MS in relevant scientific discipline. • Previous experience in writing multi-investigational NIH grants is preferred. • Must have an understanding of medical terminology and statistical methods. • Established mastery in writing and review of protocols, clinical study reports, statistical outputs such as tables and listings, investigator brochures, and other clinical summary documentation for regulatory submissions. • Excellent computer skills, including word processing and graphic presentations. • A well organized, self-motivated and independent work style with the ability to initiate and follow through on assignments. • Ability to multi-task and interact with colleagues who are working under deadlines. • Capacity to set priorities and excellent organizational planning and time management skills. |
